Icon Unknown Status.jpg Track 35: Henry Thomas - Old Country Stomp Vocalion 1230; Recorded in Chicago, 13.6.1928

No image of record label available. Harry Smith's Anthology booklet assigns authorship to "Thomas", although www.78discography.com does not assign authorship.

The note's in Harry Smith's Anthology booklet call this a "traditional tune".

There is some uncertainty over Henry Thomas's death date. According to wikipedia he was born in 1874, and "most biographers indicate he died in 1930", but "some reports claim to have seen him perform as late as the mid-1950s on Texas street comers".[1]
