82.69.29.57:

can I upload tracks into your archive?
if so how?

thanks

You can upload tracks to the wiki [[Special:Upload|here]]. You'll need to [[Special:Userlogin | create an account or log in]] first. We're currently working on extending the functionality of the site so anyone can add/update info about composers, songwriters, performers, recordings, etc and easily upload recordings directly to [http://www.openmusicarchive.org the archive]. Thanks

In July 2007 Open Music Archive will be resident at [http://www.cornerhouse.org Cornerhouse], Manchester's international centre for contemporary arts.

For two weeks Eileen Simpson & Ben White will be producing a series of live events and programmes for a temporary FM radio station broadcasting across Manchester and promoted to the UK and internationally.

We’re inviting bands and musicians to respond to the rare out-of-copyright folk, blues, and jazz from the [http://www.openmusicarchive.org Open Music Archive]. It’s a unique opportunity to get to know and work with forgotten lyrics, chords, melodies and beats - to make covers and new versions of old tracks.

For two weeks the gallery will host live plugged and unplugged performances and one-off broadcasts by Manchester’s finest upcoming and established bands and musicians.

----

Bands and musicians are now being selected and projects are in development for July 2007. Email us for details: freetoair@openmusicarchive.org

Open Music Archive, initiated by Eileen Simpson & Ben White, is a collaborative project to source, digitise, and distribute out of copyright music recordings. The archive website is open for anyone to use, edit and contribute to.

Open Music Archive Projects is a forum for projects using material from the archive. We want to engage in future collaborations and distributive projects. Feel free to use this wiki to post feedback, suggestions or project ideas.
